THE GOVERNOR GENERAL'S
HORSE GUARDS ASSOCIATION
The Governor General's Horse Guards Association is open to all current serving and former members of the Governor General's Horse Guards Regiment, and friends of the Regiment. The Association provides all members of the Regimental Family with an ongoing connection to old friends and current Regimental activities. Throughout the year, the Association hosts several social events, aimed at promoting camaraderie among its members and the serving members of the Regiment.
In 2022, the Governor General's Horse Guards celebrated 200 years of Cavalry tradition and loyal service to Canada. This was marked by a series of events throughout the year, dedicated to Captain George Taylor Denison and all those that followed, serving with the Regiment and its perpetuated units in almost every conflict facing the nation since 1822.

It is with heavy hearts that we learn of the passing of WO (Ret’d) Christopher Lam on Saturday October 7, 2023 at 60 years of age. Chris enrolled in the CAF in 1984, serving as an Admin clerk, armoured crewman, Resource Management and Human Resources Clerks. Chris held many different positions in his 39 years of service, retiring on 04 September 2023.
